Government

The Government of the former Southern British Cameroons (Ambazonia) is composed of three distinct branches: Legislative (Parliament and House of Chiefs) Executive (President, Vice President, Prime Minister and thousands of workers), and judicial (Supreme Court and lower courts), whose powers are vested by the Ambazonian Constitution in the Parliament, the President, and the National or Federal or Regional Courts, respectively. This is done to ensure a Central Government in which no individual or group gains too much control.

Legislative

This is a thought through assembly with the authority to make laws for the country, city or other entity. It forms an important part of the governments. The laws enacted by this body are vital and help steer governing actions. It also has exclusive authority to amend the budgets.

Judiciary

The judiciary in Ambazonia is the system of courts that interprets and applies the law in the name of the State and People. It also provides a mechanism for the resolution of disputes. It generally does not make law (which is the obligation of the legislative body) or enforce law (which is the concern of the executive), but rather interprets law and applies it to the facts of each case.

Executive

This is the branch of Government exercising authority in and holding responsibility for the Governance of the State of Ambazonia. The executive executes and enforces the law.

The Executive does not pass laws but rather enforces the law as written by the Legislative and interpreted by the judiciary. This branch of Government in Ambazonia is also a source of certain types of law, such as a Decree or Executive Order.

Government Priorities

The priorities of the Government of Ambazonia are enormous. Top on the list is to get the occupiers packing out at minimal costs, reinstate order and begin the process of rebuilding the Country.
